My Favourite Things from April-2018

Gingham Dress

Well, why April showers din’t seem to bring May flowers- because it was still too darn cold! I decided to round up my favourites for April that you guys might want to check out this month! It was such a popular post in March, sharing podcasts, books, food, fashion and beauty, I think it will continue to be a monthly instalment over here at the blog!

Podcast That Left The Biggest Impression:

I’ve told you how much I love podcasts when I’m on the road, I always star those that standout to me last month was Tim Storey on Super Soul Conversations on How Do You Turn a Setback into a Comeback? This podcast really resonated with me, because I believe that each and everyone of us has had to deal with a sense of loss, failure or a setback in some shape and form in our lives. The best quote of the podcast in my opinion, ” A Comeback is not a Go Back”, but so many other insightful thoughts on this podcast and I loved the core message here.

Best Jeans For Summer

Favourite Things For April

Nordstrom Rack opened in Calgary in April! I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to shop prior to open and found these amazing Levi’s 721 Vintage High Rise jeans. I shared them on Instagram and had so many questions on where people could find them! They are high waisted, distressed and have a great light wash called blue chaos that makes them perfect with tanks or tees heading into summer. Plus, if you use the link above, they are under $50!

A Memoir That Defines Courageousness:

Favourite Things for April

If you loved books like the Glass Castle and Wild, you’ll enjoy Tara Westover’s memoir Educated. Growing up in a sheltered rural area of Idaho, Tara’s fanatical family did not believe in public education or institution. She first set foot in a classroom at the age of 17 at Brigham Young University and then went on to Cambridge and Harvard. It’s an incredible book and shows what we can all do if we just have a little courage.

Cute Sunnies For Spring

Favourite Things From April

I’m in sunglasses most days- I want to protect my eyes and my face and I figure you might as well look cute while doing it. I love these Rose Gold- Dallas Titanium Sunglasses from Bailey Nelson. They come in three different colours online, but the Rose is just so feminine for spring. The awesome thing is for under $200 you can also add a prescription to these glasses, perfect for road trips and patio days!
