Out with the Old, In with the New…

With the week off in between Christmas and New Years I have time to clean, cook, reorganize and generally drive people crazy as I do when I am not trapped in the office 10 hrs a day. It also gives me time to reminisce about the year and plan for what’s to come. I find I hold myself to things, goals and deadlines if I write it down or display it visually somehow. What better tool than the blog?

I found this great one pager from Thirty Hand Made Days, and think it’s great for kids or adults alike to fill out. So here’s what I came up with:

The 2011 wrap up and 2012 look forward

The year was filled with many adventures, the goat hunt stands out the most due to the high temperatures and the elevations we had to climb into to get the goat. Followed by a fall of bow hunting whitetails with many days of -10 to 20 degrees, which I missed 2 bucks (yes I’ll admit this) at 10-8 yards due to clothing and twigs getting in the way! While I feel comfortable with a rifle or shotgun in hand, it’s very apparent to me that I have some work to do on the bowhunting front in 2012.

Another scramble to recover the goat

I sat in a treestand as much as I could this November and came up empty, there is always 2012!

One thing for sure rain, sun or snow I am happiest on top of a mountain and hope to fill many more of my days this way.

A beautiful winter day

One of the hikes this fall

Mountain Climbing in the Urban Jungle

Of course I always need to feed my creative spirit which I seem to do through fashion, cooking and my home. I’m looking forward to going to Australia for my brother’s wedding this year, an exciting year of new hunting adventures and more things to come for the blog I’m sure. Thanks to all of you who have followed and supported me through this year of learnings, it’s greatly appreciated. I hope you’re excited for what’s to come!

Looking forward to many more times in the woods
