Ok, well maybe just decking the townhouse… but here’s some snapshots of my Christmas decor. This year I decided to go a little bit more rustic with some DIY snowglobes, where I used my love of spray paint and glitter to transform some toy deer, epsom salts and mason jars into this creation.
Then I found these fantastic starry light strings that I used in a vintage lantern and my mantle to create a soft, fairy-like glow. I love that they are battery operated and can be used practically anywhere in or outdoors.
I love candles in the house, but with the amount I like to have burning can create a major fire hazard. So I found some flameless candles with real wax that also flicker and imitate real candle light. I’ve packed them all on my mantle along with some older candles I wrapped with glitter scrapbook paper, more gold spray painted deer, dispersed with birch bark ornaments and pinecones. I think my finishing touch will be to add some pine boughs…
And since our families will be hosting Christmas this year, a real tree just didn’t seem to be realistic. So I found this Charlie Brown, winter wonderland tree that I decorated with a mix of glitter and rustic ornaments. And as always Miss Lily loved helping!
And Miss Lily would like you to win a gift pack for the Holidays! Head on over to Menage a Trois Wines and enter your pet’s holiday photo to win!
Like the DYI touches. Where do you find the flameless candles? Also I’m not sure Rocky will wear a Santa hat for the pet photo.
The candles were all from Costco for a whopping $29 and come with a remote timer! If you want to win some wine, Rocky will wear the Santa hat!
So Pretty! I adore your snow globes.
I can’t believe it’s this close to Christmas and I haven’t put up a single decoration ANYWHERE or bought even one present yet…YIKES
It’s going by so fast this year! I was prepared early because we’ll be gone most of the time. I’m sure even within a day you’ll transform your house into a winter wonderland Suzie!
It looks beautiful!
